Where is the best place to go on a weekend getaway on the gulf coast?

My boyfriend and I have decided to skip prom and utilize the weekend. We want to have or own weekend getaway for just the two of us. The thing is we do not have a lot of money so our budget is tight. We live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast so if you have any ideas for that Gulf Coast other than than the Gulfport/Biloxi area that would be great.

Panama city Beach is great. I used to live there and would be glad to go back anytime.
Look for the beach vendors where you can jet ski, aqua cycle or even rent a Catamaran.
Pensacola has nice beaches, an older area which is very cool, goods restaurants and vibrant night life in season. New Orleans if fun if you have never been there. No beaches, though expect on Lake Pontchartrain.
